Here at Coniston Shooting Ground a few things have changed following the PM’s announcement on 22nd September.
It is essential that you wear a face covering in the clubhouse unless you are exempt. In line with recent changes you may only then remove you face covering once seated in the clubhouse.
LOCAL LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS
It is essential if you are in an area which is subject to stricter local lockdown measures (ie. not allowed to socialise indoors or outdoors with any members of any other household than your own) you continue to comply with those measures during your visit to Coniston Shooting Ground.
TRACK AND TRACE
We have implemented a Track and Trace system which involves using your smart phone to scan the QR bar code (just on the doorway into the clubhouse). You will be asked to input your contact details. On subsequent visits to the shooting ground the system will remember your details so you will only have to scan the code.
We are also displaying the Government NHS Track and Trace bar code if you prefer to use that one.
We hope you are happy with how we are running Coniston Shooting Ground to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff.
To assist with Covid-19 guidelines, we have now implemented a new system for the Sporting course. It is a ONE WAY, continuous loop that starts at Stand 1 behind the clubhouse. There are plenty of signs showing the route round and there are also passing places to allow for 2 meter social distancing. We have been able to widen the paths to enable you to shoot safely down the wood which means we have lots more stands for you to enjoy. Therefore, there is now no need to pre-book for Sporting and we have lifted the 10 minute restrictions on the stands. In order to make sure the ONE WAY system is implemented, we have installed cut throughs to allow you to leave the Sporting course and drop down to the lower path to return to the Clubhouse. Please adhere to the ONE WAY system at all times to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff. Please make sure you use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter and leave each stand.
GROUSE BUTT, ABT AND COMPAK AND RANGE 4
If you are shooting the Grouse Butt, ABT or Compak please follow the path (clearly signed) across the middle field which is a ONE WAY system.
To guarantee a slot on Range 4 you will still need to book ahead of time, although if you haven’t got a booking and the range is free when you arrive, please check with a member of staff and you will be able to use it if no-one is booked on.
Please make sure you use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter and leave each stand.
If you have any problems whilst out shooting our office number is on the back of the Promatic card (01756 748586).
Please adhere to these rules for your safety and the safety of our staff.
We are now open to non-members as well as members. We are still operating a telephone booking system but there are slots available so please call us on 01756 748586 to book in.
