Each day combines variety, challenge and relaxed, attentive hospitality, with four varied drives that keep the day interesting and engaging.

Format of the Day
Your day at Coniston Shooting Ground is structured, social and thoroughly enjoyable:
10:00am – Arrival
Welcome to Coniston Shooting Ground (BD23 4EA). Enjoy breakfast rolls, tea and coffee on arrival and prepare for the day ahead.
10:30am – Drive One
Kick off with your first drive across our varied terrain through the private Coniston estate.
Elevensies
Refreshments served to keep you energised.
Drive Two
Continue the sporting challenge.
12:30pm – Lunch & Drinks
Choose to dine in the lodge, or out in the field (weather permitting) with lunch and drinks (BBQ option available).
Drive Three
Back out on the estate for more shooting.
Drive Four
Finish with the final drive of the day.
4:00pm – Depart at Leisure
After a full day of shooting and socialising, you’re free to head home when you’re ready.

Should you prefer high pheasants, fast partridges, ducks over water, grouse-style drives - or a mix of all four - we can shape the drives to suit your preferences and experience level.
Hospitality, your way
From simple field refreshments to something more generous, we can arrange catering that fits the tone of your day. Options might include:

- Lodge-based lunch and drinks
- Upgraded catering throughout the day
Support where you want it
Instructors and loaders can be added for some or all of your group, helping less experienced shooters or simply keeping things running smoothly.
Non-shooters welcome
If you have guests who’d rather enjoy the hospitality than take part in the shooting, we’re happy to accommodate them too.
If you have something specific in mind, or even just a rough idea, we’re very used to shaping a day around it. A conversation is usually the best place to start.

Our instructors and loaders are available throughout the day to offer guidance, keep things running smoothly and help shooters get the most from each drive. Whether you’d like a little support or simply want the reassurance of expert oversight, help is always close by.
Four varied simulated drives
Each day is carefully planned to make the most of the estate, with four drives that offer variety and challenge across different targets and terrain. The layout and pacing of the day reflect the rhythm of a traditional driven shoot, without the formality.
A relaxed, well-run day
From arrival refreshments through to the final drive, attention is given to timing, comfort and detail, allowing you to enjoy the shooting without feeling rushed. It’s about a proper day out, shared with fellow guns in good company.

Hospitality is a key part of the experience at Coniston. Breakfast on arrival, lunch during the day and refreshments between drives are all included, with options to eat in the field or in the shooting lodge depending on the weather.
